The Two BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Who doesn’t love a good chocolate chip cookie? Everybody loves a good warm, melt-in-your-mouth cookie. But how do you know which recipe is the best?

Well, we’ll try to help you with our two very favorite recipes! One is the recipe I’ve used for years and it was always my go-to recipe when our kids were growing up. It’s so delicious when it’s fresh out of the oven and you pair it with a cold glass of milk. The warm chocolate stuffed in this cookies, just can’t be beat!

The other is a more recent cookie for me, but it’s huge and thick – chock full of chocolate and pecans. This cookie is delicious when it’s warm, but it’s just as good in the following days. It holds up so well and will taste fresh and delicious for days.

Let’s start mixing

I use my Kitchenaid Mixer for this, but you can even stir by hand if you want. That’s what I did years ago before I had a good stand mixer.

Mix butter, sugar, and brown sugar until mixed well.

Add your egg and mix well.

Add all your dry ingredients together and mix on low until flour is almost mixed in, then on medium for a brief time until it all combines into dough.

Last, add your chocolate chips and mix just until they are dispersed through the dough.

Drop by spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. bake in 325 degree oven for about 8-9 minutes (depending on your oven). You want them to barely be set, but not brown when you take them out. Let them cool for 3-5 minutes before removing from pan.
