Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried chives
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon 3 thick slices or 6 regular, cooked

Instructions

  • Beat the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch packet with a mixer until smooth, scraping the bowl once. Start with half the ranch packet if you prefer less salt.
  • Add the cheddar, garlic powder, chives, and bacon. Mix just until combined.
  • Cover and chill at least 1 hour, or up to 2 days ahead.
  • Serve with wavy chips, pita chips, or cut vegetables.

Notes

  • Make it a day ahead — the flavor deepens overnight.
  • On the salty side as written; use 1/2 to 3/4 of the ranch packet for a milder dip.
  • Fresh green onions can replace the dried chives.
  • Store-bought bacon crumbles work — use about 1/2 cup.
