Crock Pot Chicken and Dressing

Chicken and Dressing has never been easier than it is in this recipe! It has all the flavors you want from a homemade, comfort dish like this, but it just takes minutes to throw it together and put it in your crock pot. Sunday dinner or a weeknight dinner on the go has never been better!

Equipment

  • 1 Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 6 cups crumbled, day-old cornbread **Cornbread recipe here!
  • 12 oz. Pepperidge Farm Herb Stuffing
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 1 cup diced celery **optional
  • 4 cups rotisserie chicken
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1- 1 1/2 tbsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter, cut into pats

Instructions

  • In large bowl, combine all ingredients except rotisserie chicken
  • Mix well until all combined
  • Layer 1/3 dressing mixture into greased or lined crock pot
  • Place about 1/2 the chicken on top
  • Repeat with 1/3 dressing and other half of chicken
  • Layer remaining 1/3 dressing on top and place butter pats on top
  • Place lid on crock pot and set for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high
  • Check at about the halfway mark (either 1 hour or 2 hours) and stir dressing to prevent sticking/baking onto crock pot.
