In large pot, bring 6 cups water to a boil. Season with 1 tbsp. kosher salt.
Add green beans to boiling water and blanche for 4-5 minutes, making sure to keep vibrant green color.
While water is coming to a boil, melt butter in large skillet.
Add sliced almonds and shallots to skillet and saute, stirring occasionally for 5-6 minutes.
Add minced garlic to skillet and continue to saute for 3-4 minutes.
Drain the green beans and add to the skillet. Stir together for 2-3 more minutes until tender.
Stir in lemon juice and taste for seasonings.
Add pepper and kosher salt to taste.
Serve warm right away for best taste!
