Italian Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese Spread approx. 2/3 of a 12 oz container. Kaukauna brand or similar.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 packet Italian Salad Dressing Mix
  • 1 tbsp Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese or a Parmesan/Romano blend
  • Optional: Pecan meal or finely chopped pecans for coating
  • For Serving: Club crackers

Instructions

  • Prep: Let the cheddar cheese spread and cream cheese sit out until they reach room temperature to make mixing easier.
  • Combine: In a bowl, mix together the 8 oz of sharp cheddar cheese spread and the 8 oz of cream cheese.
  • Add Seasonings: Add the packet of Italian salad dressing mix, 1 tablespoon of sour cream, and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.
  • Mix: Blend all ingredients together thoroughly.
  • Serve: You can serve it immediately in a bowl as a spread with crackers.

Alternative Serving Method (Cheese Log)

  • Chill the mixed spread in the refrigerator for a short time to let it stiffen.
  • Shape the mixture into a log using plastic wrap.
  • Spread pecan meal onto parchment paper and roll the cheese log in it until coated.
  • Serve chilled with crackers.

Storage Note This spread can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
